Hello, I'm Jason and at the age of 37, I have dealt with chronic back pain for more than 20 years.
I have done a work on my back and truth be told, my entire body got worn down over the years. Everything from adventure sports like snowboarding to my career in industrial environments.
As a father and husband, my health has really come into focus. I have spent way too many times unable to move, walk or function due to severe pain. My pain has ranged far and wide, including lower back pain, sciatica, and pain extending all the way through my neck and shoulders. Having additionally broken my right clavicle twice, my body has compensated such that I have really knotted myself up!
Being deeply inspired during one of my meditations, I designed this device to combat areas of discomfort in my upper back and shoulder region. The human hand, while great for short-term relief in locating and pinpointing muscle knots, succumbs to fatigue. Needing something that could maintain the shape, provide targeted pressure, while also being ambidextrous, the Knotmyback™ came to form.
